Confessions of Tired Mom

1. The kids and I do school in our pajamas once or twice a week.

2. I don't separate the whites from the colors. Everything goes in together and gets washed on cold.

3. I don't clean my house every week.

4. I love having a garden, but I am not looking forward to the work it will take to get it going.

5. I haven't gone for a run or done any other form of exercise in 2 months.

6. I put my kids in bed at 7 pm whether they are sleepy or not. They usually fall asleep soon after.

7. I have a love/hate relationship with cooking. I love knowing what's in my food and not spending money on eating out, but I hate the time it takes and the cleaning up afterwards.

8. I am starting to time myself while browsing facebook and my blog list. I have a crazy addiction to reading about someone else's life when I should be tending to my own.

9. I have 6 books sitting on my desk. I have started reading them all, but I can't seem to finish one.

10. I'm starting to get bored of tv...except of course when I need it to keep my kids occupied.

11. I should be folding Huck's cloth diapers right now while waiting on our bread to cool, but obviously I've chosen to do something much more productive. :)

Oh my, this makes me want to confess... but the list would be so long I'd never get done! I'm so guilty of letting it go that when I do pick it alllll up the kids say "Is it Bible Study day?" I'm thinking I need to have company over more often to give me the PUSH I need. One of my greatest fears, TRULY, is that my kids are going to write/tell about me and my quirks when they grow up. And they probably will. ACKGHHHH

Haha! Rachel, my list could be much much longer, but I decided to limit it so I wouldn't feel like a complete loser :)

I grinned from ear-to-ear through this whole post. I think if we were all more transparent, life would just be easier! It does a body good to know that her friends aren't perfect. :)

It reminds me of an episode of Desperate Housewives I watched (I loved the whole first season and watched it religiously, how's that for a confession?) where one of the moms started taking her son's Ritalin because it gave her the focus to accomplish ten times more stuff in a day. Of course, she eventually had a complete flip out and sat in the middle of a soccer field bawling. When her friends consoled her and started telling their "secrets" (much like the list above) she sobbed and said, "Why didn't you tell me? Why did you let me believe that you were perfect? I thought I was alone." ... I'm not even a mom and I cried and cried through the whole scene.

We often feel alone in our secrets...but we're not. Even knowing the silly stuff helps. :)

    Thanks, Cheyenne!

    I don't separate my whites, either! :)
(And I don't have the excuse of being a tired mom.)

My confession: I woke up early to grade papers, and you see what I'm doing.

By the way, this blog title would make a good book title, just a thought.
