raccoons
We keep finding what looks like dog poop in our back yard. We will clean it up, but the next day it's always back. Then the other night I saw a huge raccoon walking into our backyard...it must be the culprit. Oh no!!! So last night, we cleaned up the poop and poured ammonia all around the "pooping area" hoping the smell would keep the animal away. We saw this morning that the nasty little critter still used our yard as its bathroom only in an area away from the ammonia...ugh!
I have googled how to get rid of raccoons, and the only thing that seems 100% is to set a trap. I just think that if I set a trap that I will catch the wrong animal. What do I do? Does anyone have any tips for this particular pest problem?
and at least my attic doesn't look like this...thank the Lord!

Oh no! And omg i would freak if they were nesting in my attic! Thank goodness they have not invaded your home yet! I have no advice, but good luck!! They used to get in our trash when I was a kid...an uncle with a shot gun took care of that problem :( Not the way I would have taken care of it.
